At this time we have a handful of people.

Rick Brown, Mike Moyer, John Nedzel, Jim Alexander, Hans Geyer and Joe Sieck. There is also a group from the Lehigh Valley Whitewater club meeting at the same time. I've boated with a number of them over the past months.

Jim Alexander lives close to Wilco and will be stopping there. He will be there around 8:15am or before. He is in a Red Minivan and has his boat inside so don't look for a boat on a rack.
I believe that John Nedzel and Hans Geyer will meet him there to carpool up from that point.

I would be willing to meet someone at 9am at the 901 Pub about a mile off I-81, exit 116, route 901, Minersville. Go left off I-81 north at exit 116 onto 901, thru the light and down the hill to the 901 Pub. I have room in my van for one boat up to 8' long with no hassle at all.
If you want to do this give me a call and let me know. 717-365-3167 tonight or 717-512-2824 tomorrow.

Just a heads up for those coming up 81 from Harrisburg area. I would expect fog in the morning. If you don't run into fog before the Tower City exit, I would expect 81 to be fogged in from the Tower City exit on. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and it won't be that bad !!!

Trip Report -

We had less water than I expected today. Call it Medium-Low but a very fun play level.

6 in the group. Rick Brown, Joe Sieck, Walt Seiger, Jim Alexander, John Nedzel and Mike Moyer. It was John's first run of the Nescopeck and he liked it. Imagine that !!

Joe Sieck has done the Nescopeck about as many times as I have this year so he and his OC-1 had their way with all the fun stuff he could find. He was loving the level and his boat today.

Walt was in his carbon OC-1 and navigated around  and or clean over every rock with not as much as a scratch on the hull. Well... maybe he got ONE new scratch today.

It was the first time I had met Jim Alexnader but he played it up in style the whole way down the run. He's done the Nescopeck many times but the first time for him this year.

John did well his first time down, but I didn't expect he'd have any problems. After all he is a LY vet from years gone by and he has a JK SUPER Hero. Able to leap large rocks in a single paddle stroke !!!!!

Mike Moyer continues to step it up. Surfing all the bigger stuff and now starting to do spins in Chicken Hole today. Starting off with a few mis-attempts not having the proper edging the whole way around. But after a few attempts he got one, then two in a row. Then more. He pulled off quite a few 2 and 3 or more spins in a row on a number of trys.
He also swam today at Chicken Hole after seeing a playboater doing back-deck hand rolls. I sort of take some credit, if taking credit it the proper wording, for his swim. You see he tried a back-deck roll in the hole after I told him "you have a back-deck roll.... you need to try what that playboater is doing !!!" So he did !!! And ending up all twisted up after the failed back-deck roll attempt he couldn't get back into his setup quick enough....and he swam. But he did make a great self rescue in quick order to make up for it.
Mike talked to the said playboater at the takeout and got the secret to doing back-deck rolls in the hole..there is a secret to it and it makes perfect sense one he said what to do.....so I'm guessing he'll be trying the advice out next time we get back.

I took some video and some snap shots at Chicken Hole with Mikes camera so maybe he'll have something to post later on if he loads up some pictures and videos.

Great day on the water with great weather to top it off.
