Please note:  This trip has been rescheduled from the 15th to the 14th so that some of us can participate in a Class II - III run on Saturday.

Lat minute change of plan because of previous day and overnight rain of about an inch.  We decided to run the Shade Creek instead of the Stony.  Great choice, we all thought, since it is hard to catch the Shade when it is up.  It poured on the way over to the creek, and rained off and on during the trip.  Nice medium level (Ferndale gauge ~ 5' at around noon), fun play spots, interesting rapids, and weather was dry when we got off the creek!  Neil, Chris, Jon Owens, and I did the run from the start at the confluence of the Dark and the Clear Shades to the end where it flows into the Stonycreek River.  A couple of pics at:
