Pine Creek Camping Weekend
Organizer: Dirk Dixon
Telephone: 717-566-4994
River Classification: I - II
Date: Friday, April 27, 2012
Ends : Sunday, April 29, 2012

For anyone who has never gone on a CCGH Pine Creek Weekend trip and has wondered
what it might be like, it is a three day weekend affair combining paddling on one of Pennsylvania’s
most scenic waterways with primitive camping. This is a true canoe camping event.
You have to carry all of the gear you need in your boat for two nights of wilderness camping.
We paddle in on Friday and out on Sunday. We camp at the same site for both nights and Saturday
is left up to your own choices of hiking, fishing or just relaxing around camp.

If anyone is interested in going up Saturday morning and staying only one night, please let me know.  I can't really take Friday off and my son can't miss school on Friday.

We would take one car and hire a shuttle from Pine Creek outfitters and be on the water by 10:00, and in camp by 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon, maybe sooner if the water is up.  I can take another canoe and two riders in the car.

Give me call at 717   533   8381 or send me an e-mail at president@ccghpa.com.

Thank you,

Brian

Are there any other kayakers attending this trip?

I'm not sure how often Dirk is checking the message board. I'd suggest to contact Dirk by phone to get an answer if you need to know rigth away.
