This is a trip for anyone interested in practicing the skills needed to enjoy canoe/kayak camping.
Novices need not be intimidated by primitive camping conditions.
The evening camping will be at a campground with full toilet and shower facilities.
However, since the intention is to learn how to do wilderness camping, all participants will be
transporting their own camping, cooking and food gear with them in their boats.
We intend to paddle an interesting stretch of the Juniata River, from Mcveytown to Cuba Mills.
This includes the Narrows below Lewistown and a stop at the recently restored Pennsylvania Canal Lift Lock No. 13.
Please sign up early if you intend to participate, as campground reservations need to be made for the group.
