Hi All:

Anyone ever paddle this stretch?  Phyllis and I are wanting to and need some help with put ins/take outs, general river information (left or right side), and any other bits of information you think might prove helpful.

Thanks in advance for your help Smiley

I'm not familiar with it but if you post on the CCC messageboard those guys down that way are intimately familiar. There are some play features along the way that the ww guys like.

Also try AW link

I've paddled from Bainbridge to Wrightsville.  There are several easy ledges that are fun.  (If you like surfing, they offer a pretty good opportunity.  They are MUCH better than at the Dauphin Narrows ledges.) The only thing you have to watch out for is the RR bridge.  There is a massive wave just to the left of the first different pillar on the left side.  I took my seakayak through it and had 7 feet of it out of the water.  FUN!  If you stay away from that, the rest of it is pretty easy.  I took out at the John Wright factory parking lot/ramp on the right which is between the Rt 462 and Rt 30 bridges.

It was a nice scenic trip.

I'd like to do this run with you.

Karen and I have paddled the left side of this twice.
the sojourn ran down the right side.

there is a boat launch in marietta, columbia, and wrightsville.

the saginaw bridge is 3-4 miles upstream.  This is a fun ledge but the putin
does require a few more steps.
