Pickup Trips

Auburn Landing to Port Clinton is a fun 7 mile trip through a remote and scenic stretch of the Schuylkill River. Class 1+ with a 2-3 foot drop at one of the railroad bridges and splashy wave trains at the end of the trip. Meet at 9:30 at Auburn Landing for the shuttle. Lunch is along the trip.

Other dates are available if the water level at the Landingville gauge holds above 3.1 feet.

I will cancel or reschedule the night before if no one has expressed an interest.

About how long is the trip? I am a new paddler, just learned to roll this winter in the pool sessions and have practiced in a couple creeks so far.

I would love to join depending on the duration of the trip, if my schedule allows!

Four hours on the water plus shuttle and lunch. We should be heading home by 3:30 at the latest.

I just watched the schuylkill sojourn at the chutes today .30% swam mostly due to not having a skirt and filling the boat with water. current level is at 4.26 This is fairly fast.
