Ricky Brown

One week until the start of the 8th Annual RPC LY Conference. August 18th thru the 23rd.

Group tent camping provided (site #229 at Kentuck Campground in Ohiopyle) Monday night thru Saturday morning. 6 days 5 nights of camping, paddling, biking, hiking, sightseeing, pickleball playing, sitting around the campfire, "anything you want to do" yearly event. Come for the whole week, come for a few days OR drive out for a day trip. Your choice. Let us know if you're going to join us. I'll be checking here daily for any last minute additions to those already on my list of attendees.

We have a nice group of people coming out next week. About a dozen or more participants this year. Some are staying on their own sites with trailers, others will be tent camping at the group tent site. Some plan to arrive Monday(or before) while a few are planning on joining the group around mid-week.

There will be trips on the Lower as well as the Middle. Some of us are bringing bikes to ride rail trail one of the days. Some of us are planning on playing pickleball in the evenings at a county park near Farmington, route 40, about 20 minutes from camp. There could be some hikes planned. Blue Hole Trail??

Steve Berry

Rick, I plan on arriving Monday afternoon.

We plan to paddle the Zelgear a full run Monday. I'm willing to do a Loop run Monday evening if anyone is interested. Let me know 😀.

In case any missed it-- Ohiopyle sustained some storm damage today. The road from town to the campground is closed. If the damage isn't clear by tomorrow, you'll need to get to the campground via Chalk Hill (and run shuttle that way too).

Rick, Apologies for a late response; I've been kicking an infection.

I hope to catch up with folks for a Lower or alternative trip one day. Also, if anyone shows up with mountain bikes, I try to bike most mornings. (And I hate to admit, years ago I was gifted a pickleball set. I've never used it and never played. Should I be so brave?)

I'll be out Tues., staying at my place in Addison and hoping to play as much as I work at the place.

--Thx, Liz
