. . . and what a beautiful day it was on the Yellow Breeches. Temperatures were in the high 40’s with bright sunshine and virtually no wind. One tandem and three solo canoes and ten kayaks put in at the covered bridge at Messiah College. The water level was .93, well below Ed Gertler’s minimum, but as all CCGH’ers know, there is always enough water to run the Yellow Breeches, at least from Messiah College on down. We stopped for the traditional New Year’s lunch break at Simpson Park and all but three paddlers continued on to Lower Allen Township Park. The water temperature is not known since none of the paddlers had to opportunity to test it, that is, no swims. Participants included: Bob Alexander; Bob Barrett; Paul Bishop; Judie Darr; Vern Graham; Bruce Hicks; Karl and Marylou Martz; Todd Little; Brian Palmer; Jim Rupp; Sandy Sizer and her son; Craig Raisner; Arlene Taylor; and trip coordinator Howard Davis
