Same trip as before, just the new date.
Meet at Devil’s Backbone park near Boonsboro, Md. at 10:30. We will shuttle to the take out below the Burnside Bridge and should be on the river by 11:30. This is about an 8 mile Class I trip with some fun riffles and small ledges. There is a small dam near the takeout with a chute that is manageable for beginners. We should be off the river between 3 and 4.
Packed lunch and water is strongly suggested. Life jackets are a must.
Meet at Devil’s Backbone Park at 10:30.
The park is located along Route #68 near Lappan’s Crossroads. To access the park from the Sharpsburg Pike, Route #65, turn left at Lappan’s Crossroads and continue approximately one and one-half miles on Route #68 toward Boonsboro. The park is on the left. Please let us know if you will be joining us and a cell number if available.
