CCGH Training and Trip Planning Meeting

“The 2017 training meeting will be held at 8:30 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Blue Ridge Family Restaurant, 4408 Oakhurst Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. They have a private room for us. We just need to order $20 off of the menu. I think a couple of instructors can handle that.”

The training planning will be the first order of business. Once the training program has been set we will immediately start the trip planning portion of the meeting.
If you want to lead any trips in 2017 please plan to attend. If you can’t attend please e-mail me prior to the meeting with your ideas for trips and preferred dates if you want to lead trips this coming year.

I’ve attached the spreadsheet once again, just fyi. (with one minor change correcting the date of the Turkey BASH event.)

Here is a list of events that I have in the past listed on our calendar that we still need good confirmed dates:
-Red Mo Downriver Race (Mar 25?)
-Savage River dam releases
-North Branch Potomac releases(dates listed on spreadsheet are unconfirmed from a 3rd party source close to outfitters that operate on the Potomac)
-Cheat Festival Weekend (May 5?)
-Gauley Festival Weekend (Sept 15?)
-Beaver Festival Weekend (Sept 2?)
-Over the Falls Festival (Oct 7?)(last year they switched up to a fall date rather than the traditional summer date – unsure if this will become the norm now)
-Penn Cup Slalom Race dates
-Lehigh Classic Downriver Race(usually held Saturday of the first of the larger(1700-1000cfs) release weekends)(Aug 26?)

If you have any info on any of the above dates I’d appreciate a heads up.
