    MANHATTAN CIRCUMNAVIGATION

This month’s program will feature a discussion of the annual Manhattan Circumnavigation, a day-long paddle around one of the world’s most populated islands. When people think of New York City, Manhattan is often the first place they picture. Manhattan is the most densely populated of New York City’s 5 boroughs, 1.626 million (2013). Its nearly 23 sq./miles are bounded by the Hudson, East and Harlem rivers. Among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers, it’s the heart of “the Big Apple.”

The panel of CCGH members, including Gary Benzon, Al Cummins, Vern Graham and Steve Landis, will discuss the origins of the event, logistics, participation, etc.

Community Center of Giant Food Store, (Camp Hill Shopping Center) 3301 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA, 7:00 PM
