While most people who run the Red Mo take out at the Rt. 53 bridge, I believe the most enjoyable section of the creek is downstream of the bridge. The scenery improves with a mix of hardwoods and evergreens, and the rapids are continuous easy class 2 for 5 miles to the West Branch of Susquehanna. After paddling 3 miles on the WB, we’ll take out at the DCNR access in Karthus, so launch permits are required. Call or email to confirm if you want to join us.

If the Black Mo is running and some of the Mo Creekers are going to paddle it, I might go up Friday afternoon and paddle with them. Stay overnight and then paddle with CCGH on Saturday.
