August 9, 2018 – Boaters on the Swatara Creek near Hummelstown are cautioned. There is a thirty-some foot log dangling horizontally in the water on a communications cable creating a unique strainer. It is river left center and twenty feet downstream of the Fiddlers Elbow Road bridge and because of the bridge it is not visible until you are on top of it. Authorities are aware of it and it should be removed soon. In the meantime be aware.
