I can’t wait to teach this class!!

If you want to learn the basics of kayaking and learn the skills to run easy creeks and potentially start running white water, this class is for you.
We’ll go over basic strokes, boat basics, and river safety and have a great river day. Skills will include eddy turns, ferries and reading water so you can pick your favorite river lines.

You are welcome to use your own equipment or borrow club equipment. Since water levels are often low in August, we’ll make the final venue decision closer to the class date, but will be on the Yellow Breeches in Mechanicsburg, or similar.

A follow-up trip is offered Sunday where you can put your new skills to work.

Must be a CCGH member to attend, but can join the club when you register for the class. Club membership is $20/family/year.
Fee for the class is $15 for ACA members, $20 for non-ACA members.
