Let’s meet at 8:15 at the Flying J truck stop in Carlisle. Exit 52 on rt 81 then go east on rt 11 less than 1/4 mile. First place on left. We should get to the ballfield put in around 10:30. Let me know if you are going. Watch here for info, in case trip has to be canceled for high water.

As of right now Jim and I are coming along. We will be driving up from our place in MD though so we will just meet u at the baseball field. I really hope the level drops cause right now when I checked it’s at 5ft. We will keep an eye on here for updates. Hope to see u all on the river.

I think we will get to the put in about 10:45, as long as everything goes good. I think the level will come down enough but will post here if it’s too high for first timers.

The water level looks like it will be good for tomorrow. See you at the Flying J at 8 to 8:15 or at the ballfield put in around 10:45.

The first timers trip went great. Weather was nice and water level was good. We had 15 paddlers in the group, 3 canoes, 1 shredder, and 10 kayakers. Everyone decided to run Showers rapid. We had one swimmer there but Phil was ready, on shore, with a throw rope and pulled him in and Neil collected his boat and paddle at the bottom. The rest of the run went well with a couple more swims and lots of fun. Thanks to those who safety boated and thanks to the 3 first timers for doing a great job and everyone else who went along.

Remember, we are doing the Lower Yough first timers trip on July 14th. Please don’t wait till the last minute to decide, so we can plan ahead.

      Thanks, Mark
